Winter Is Coming: Here Are the Sneaker Silhouettes That'll See You Through
If we were to make a list of the things we love about summer, being able to step outside without muddying our kicks would be right up there. For a couple of months a year, it's nice to have the peace of mind that you can wear your heat without worry, but as we approach the autumn and winter months we’ve come to accept that it's time to swap out our rotation for something a little more rugged and weatherproof. That doesn’t have to mean that your style suffers though - there are plenty of winter-ready footwear options that definitely deserve a spot on your sneaker shelves, so here are some of our favourites.

A pair of classic AF1s is a must-have all year round, but if you did want something a little different for the months ahead then the AF1 Luxe is a great option. This pair arrives in tumbled leather and features gold stitching which gives them a luxurious look and feel, but it’s the exaggerated chunky sole that makes them the perfect winter sneaker. The gum outsole features deeper treads that help to provide extra traction underfoot, allowing them to better cope with the elements.

It wouldn’t be a winter edit without some GORE-TEX, would it? The ultimate must-have winter tech features on the ACG Mountain Fly Low - a sturdy silhouette that’s suitable for the city or for the trails. The GORE-TEX treated upper remains super lightweight whilst also being durable and water-repellent, and a cinch lacing system helps to create a more secure fit. Finally, a React Foam midsole sits underfoot to ensure a comfy ride.

Last but not at all least, if you’re losing for something that ups the cosy factor, then look no further than the adidas Puffylette. Though they might look like a house shoe, this plus silhouette is actually water-repellent and comes finished with an EVA sole unit that’s hardwearing enough to be worn outdoors too. Made in part with recycled materials and featuring a puffy, insulated upper, they’ll be sure to keep you toasty and dry throughout the rest of autumn and winter.
