Last year's adidas Y-3 Runner 4D 'Black' took the sneaker world by storm, and its successor is about to do the same thing. Unveiled during Paris Fashion Week, this murdered out sneaker is the perfect combination of adidas' innovation and Y-3's unmistakable fashion aesthetic and progressive Japanese craftsmanship.
Made from a stretchy Primeknit, panels of premium leather feature throughout for a luxe aesthetic. Yohji Yamamoto's iconic signature adorns the laterals, while Y-3 branding makes its way to the tongue. A criss-cross pattern graces the side panels - a nod to the Y-3 Qasa Racer of 2014 - and down below, a blacked out Futurecraft 4D midsole is present, marking the first sneaker with coloured 4D.
Of course, we got a glimpse of another Y-3 Runner 4D colourway back in Yamamoto's Spring/Summer 2019 show which featured an entirely different look altogether. Painted in all-white, it featured a lacing system which is quite similar to the Y-3 Kusari that released in 2018.
