Back in January, Virgil Abloh stepped out in a pair of Off-White BAPESTAs during his Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2019 runway show in Paris. Whether these were one-offs for the Artistic Director or an upcoming collaboration remains to be seen, but we're now getting our best look yet thanks to sneaker insider @sneakerjamz!
Building on the Japanese streetwear imprint's flagship shoe, the BAPESTA bears a striking resemblance to the Nike Air Force 1 but with a few notable differences here and there. The entire upper is dressed in a patent leather snakeskin, while contrasting white STA motifs shoot across the side panels.
Of course, it wouldn't be an Off-White sneaker without the signature industrial branding printed along the medials, which is complemented by quoted test on the shoelaces. To round it all off, a "BAPESTA" tag graces the tongue, while a stainless steel "BAPE" lace lock finalises the design.
Pretty much nothing else is known about the Off-White BAPESTA, but you can bet that we'll let you know as soon as more info comes in, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier! Would you cop these? Tell us what's on your mind!
