Travis Scott's status in the sneaker game is currently being reassessed following Astroworld Festival 2021 where 10 lives were lost, but before this tragedy struck, one of the hottest sneaker collaborations of 2022 was set to be the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low "Reverse Mocha". While Kylie Jenner gave everyone a sneak peek back in November, we're now taking our best look yet at the shoe in question.
A completely inverted take on the "Dark Mocha" from 2019, this Air Jordan 1 Low features Scott's signature brown and white colour palette. Working on top of a suede base, it's flanked by panels of white leather on the heel, toebox, and lacing system. Around the back, Travis' Cactus Jack emoji can be seen on the left shoe while the right one has been reserved for the iconic winged basketball emblem, both in red.
Shifting your focus down below you'll find a cream Air midsole that gives off a vintage vibe. This is complemented by the flat laces as well as the backwards Nike Swoosh - a design element that has become synonymous to the Houston-born rapper's Beaverton collaboration.
At this point we're having doubts if the Travis Scott x Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG "Reverse Mocha" will actually launch, but with months of time and effort put into the project we wouldn't be surprised if they continued to release. Let us know what you think of this collab, and in related news, this Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 is apparently inspired by the Houston Oilers!
