Back in February 2016, Kanye West took to Twitter to tease the Yeezy 1050. The spiritual successor to the 950 Duck Boot which debuted a year prior, sneakerheads have been waiting for these to drop for quite some time. Now, thanks to sneaker insider @mr3stripess, we're taking our best look yet at the hotly anticipated boot.
Arriving in a curiously dubbed "Songs Of Ash" colourway, the 1050 is painted in a clean cream palette and crafted from a variety of different materials. The upper itself is made from a Gore-Tex-infused mesh, while soft suede accents make their way to the lacing system. A neoprene lining results in a sock-like fit, while metal eyelets give the Yeezy an extra rugged aesthetic that is sure to turn heads.
Moving downwards, you'll be greeted with a chunky midsole complete with an ultra grippy rubber outsole, and to round it all off, an oversized back pull tab adorns the heel, taken straight from the aforementioned 950.
While the final version may look very different from this, it's interesting to see what the adidas Yeezy 1050 could be. Let us know if this silhouette tickles your fancy, and in related news, Kanye recently teased YEEZY x Gap with a redesigned store!
