The Puerto Rican-born artist Bad Bunny has teamed up with the German footwear titans adidas to bring us another chunky shoe. Taking the design language from his Forum Low collaborations , this rendition of the adidas Campus is sure to divide both opinions and sneakerheads alike.
While extra features have been added to the simple silhouette of the Campus , the monochromatic colourway prevents the update from being overwhelming. We saw this during the early stages of the Bad Bunny collaborations, where the tonal filters allowed everyone to absorb the Forum in all its chunky glory. This would imply that the 80s basketball shoe is now up for a similar rollout, with the 3-Stripes eager to establish the silhouette within a whole new generation of sneakerheads. Adopting the midsole from the recent 00s iteration of the Campus, the tooling helps balance out the aggressive upper. Added to the mix is the double tongue and extra padded collar now associated with the multi-platinum artist, with the rigid mudguard nodding to Forum’s protective panelling. Located next to the 3-Stripes, the embroidered branding hides in amongst the hairy suede, unlike the tongue patch co-branding which beckons Bad Bunny’s eye logo.
