Sporty & Rich x adidas Campus 80s Burgundy

Since her days as the creative lead at KITH Women, Emily Oberg has found great success with her lifestyle clothing brand, Sporty & Rich. Oberg’s upcoming collection with German footwear brand adidas gives her another opportunity to show off her strong design skills. The Campus, a fan favourite amongst Japanese sneakerheads, has seen a number of releases in UK and European-based retailers. While this particular collab comes from LA-based Sporty & Rich, the shoe will no doubt find itself onto the feet of people across the globe.

Similar to the Stan Smith edition, the Campus carries on playing with the burgundy colour palette. The upper is blessed with subtle suede, allowing the three white stripes on the side panel to shine. The tongue hosts a silk patch which reads, “Sporty & Rich Health & Wellness Club”, circling an SRC logo in the middle. This tri-lettered logo mimics the design language you can find on all the most exclusive racket clubs. Similar to the Sambas, the pearl keychain is an addition that pushes the storytelling in all the right directions. The shoe balances all these new details by using an off-white midsole, sticking to the timeless DNA of the Campus.
