As the name would suggest, the adidas EQT Support 93/17 Boost YUANXIAO is a celebration of Chinese New Year. This bright and bold silhouette is inspired by the Lantern Festival which takes place each February across China. Here we take a closer look at some of the impressive details.
The EQT 93/17 is one of the most contemporary models for this range which dates back to the 90s. Thanks to that chunky slab of Boost as well as the soft, neoprene upper, you can be assured of comfort from heel to toe.
The ‘Year Of The Dog’ EQT 93/17 features a fiery, crackled upper that reflects light. It’s a subtle reference to the flickering flame of those lanterns. Red and gold, two colours synonymous with Lunar New Year, feature across the predominantly black colourway. This adds a sense of luxury and refinement. To complete the look, a JADE-inspired ash green colourway hits the Boost cushioning underfoot.
