The adidas x Concepts EQT Support 93/16 Black is another Consortium tour special set to arrive very soon. Boston based boutique Concepts have stamped some individual style in this two part collection which pulls inspiration from two major heists. A Sage colourway is themed after a huge fine art robbery, while this pair is inspired by the famed Lufthansa Heist.
Taking place at JFK airport, over $5 million was taken and the robbery was later made famous in the film Goodfellas.
This pair brings some mafia style appeal to a contemporary silhouette. Black suede is complimented by the hard-wearing properties of nylon while a white overlay to the side offers support and a contrast in white.
It’s the attention to detail which sets this design apart from the rest. A multi coloured EQT logo on the heel takes on the same colours as the airport’s interior during the time of the robbery in the 1970s.
