adidas Gazelle SPZL Green White

Highly acclaimed designer and adidas SPZL founder Gary Aspden further elevates his diverse Spezial Autumn/Winter ‘23 roster with two iterations of the all-new adidas Gazelle SPZL, built from a medley of Gazelle versions from several decades ago. This old-school-inspired rework of the silhouette is a dedication to Karl Heinz Lang, whom Gary calls an adidas hero. Clad in a lush colour palette, the adidas Gazelle SPZL “Green White” is a must-cop pair for any fan of the 3-Stripes.

A brand-new masterpiece emerges with Gary Aspden’s vast wealth of adidas footwear knowledge and creativity to utilise several designs. This dashing Gazelle SPZL hybrid takes various design cues from several versions of the terrace trainer, dating back to the ‘60s, ‘70s, and a wee bit of ‘80s modernity. This colourway presents a green suede base, with profile serrated 3-Stripes and heel tab constructed in clean white leather. The white leather eyestay drew inspiration from the ‘70s West Germany-made version of the Gazelle, while the oversized gold foil print originates from the Canada-made iteration in the ‘80s. Meanwhile, the co-branded Trefoil and Mod Trefoil symbols form the blue woven tongue tag. The vintage-inspired off white rubber sole has a foxing tape with a skived portion to create a flat and smooth finish. A classic gum rubber sole featuring herringbone patterns completes this special-edition Gazelle. The shoe includes an extra set of laces and an adidas SPZL hangtag.
