Blondey McCoy x adidas A.B. Gazelle Noble Green

London-based artist and skater Blondey McCoy is back with another skate-inspired adidas. After his first collaborative venture on the Superstar, it didn’t take long for the Gazelle to make its way onto the creatives’ cutting board, retooling the indoor football classic with a utilitarian twist. With this being Blondey’s third iteration of the A.B Gazelle, the creative finally decided to embrace a lighter palette on this “Noble Green” edition.

A white ripstop forms the base of the upper, with the contrasting 3-Stripes cut from a dark green TPU. The T-toe and the eyestay panels have also been given a TPU finish, protecting against any future wear and tear experienced while skating. Another thoughtful tweak arrives via the set of dual-coloured rope laces, here to last a whole lot longer than your average set of flat laces. If you do somehow manage to chew through them, don’t fret because another green set is included in the box. Co-branding can be spotted via the “BLONDEY” wordmark on the sidewall, written here in gold foil lettering like on the previous “Black” edition. Rounding off the update is the traction pattern on the outsole, taking nods from adidas’ hugely popular Busenitz for an improved grip.
