From its humble beginnings in the streets of Ura-Harajuku in Japan, Nigo’s A BATHING APE has cemented its spot among streetwear’s finest brands. The Japanese label links up with long-time partner adidas to reissue the Lawsuit, originally known as the Norton skate shoe from the ‘90s. Also called the N BAPE sneaker, the BAPE x adidas LWST “Black” presents a discreet colour palette, permitting the massive brand logos to stand out.
This colourway is the most exclusive pair in the capsule, limited only to A BATHING APE stores and select retailers. The silhouette harkens back to the chunky design approach of the late ‘90s and early 2000s, decked out in a black suede upper with white 1ST CAMO graphics to create a distinct colour contrast. Thick 3-Stripes embellish the sidewalls, complementing the throwback fat laces. Luxe gold accents highlight the debossed APE HEAD on the lateral quarter, embroidered BAPE STA branding on the heel, metallic eyelets, and the jumbo Trefoil on the puffy tongue. Co-branded logos on the sockliners celebrate 20 years of partnership between the streetwear label and Herzogenaurach-based sportswear giant. Underfoot lies a durable gum sole, perfect for skate and lifestyle.
The pair comes with a special-edition shoe box, dust bag, leather keychain, and extra laces in white and camouflage variants.
