CG built curiosity and attracted attention in the luxury sneaker community with his reimagined take on the adidas Stan Smith featuring the Boost and Split variants. The innovative menswear designer reinvents the retro-inspired adidas Retropy with a new collab. This adidas CG Retropy Sandal “Black” boasts a minimalist design overhaul, featuring lightweight upper construction and a Boost-equipped midsole from the Retropy E5.
The shoe has a neoprene base with suede reinforcements on the toe and a synthetic midfoot overlay on the midfoot that replicates Boost foam. Open sections on the front and back allow proper airflow, helping keep your feet dry. Metallic silver clips and Craig Green-branded lace dubraes keep the external lace cord in place, further strengthening the upper structure. The thick Boost foam midsole is a familiar sight, taken directly from the lifestyle-focused adidas Retropy E5 model. Rugged traction patterns on the outsole deliver enhanced traction on and off the road to complete this distinct Craig Green sandal.
