Kith x Clarks x adidas Samba 8th Street White

Somehow Ronnie Fieg, owner of KITH, managed to convince Clarks and adidas to team up, resulting in a shoe that is brimming with brand heritage. Combining the Samba with a crepe sole for the first time ever, Fieg has helped create what is titled the ‘8th Street Samba’, here in the “White Green” colourway.

Of course, the upper is a familiar sight, with heritage 3-Stripe tooling forming the timeless lines of the football icon that we have grown to love over the decades. Instead of the usual leather construction, Fieg opts for a soft suede, a material choice normally reserved for the front toe guard. The crepe sole underfoot is also recognised within the world of sneakers, the cup sole here complementing the tasteful lines above. Very few sports shoes can go toe-to-toe with the distinct look of the crepe sole, yet here it seems like a natural fit. Considering the taste levels of KITH’s owner, someone who’s committed their life to the world of sneakers, only a select few could have pulled off such a feat. Inside, Clarks’ signature raised heel bears branding that details the three-way collaboration, along with two suede hangtags that are typical of the British brand’s packaging.
