Wales Bonner and adidas unite forces yet again for another set of Samba iterations. Unlike previous collections, the focus is very much set on the current archival favourite, casting aside the previous SL72 and Country to capitalise on the relentless desire for the adidas Samba. While the majority of people are set on picking up the “Core Black Cream” colourway, the lighter hues on this Wales Bonner x adidas Samba “Cream White Brown” edition truly captures the high level of premium construction.

Bonner continues to push her Afro-European design language by incorporating pony hair onto the upper, a new addition to Bonner’s material catalogue. The faux animal fur goes hand-in-hand with the artisanal touches across the upper, with a signature hand stitch tracing along the panel edges and thick leather tongue. Sticking to the foldable tongue, many fans of the iconic Samba and Wales Bonner collaborative catalogue have remained split on the feature, while others enjoy the echoes back to the silhouette’s early roots as a football boot. A gum bottom keeps the shoe grounded in a typical Terrace shoe aesthetic, complementing the hits of dark brown used across the 3-Stripe branding, heel tab and set of chunky waffle laces.
