Sporty & Rich x adidas SL 72 Yellow Blue

Sporty & Rich pays homage to founder Emily Oberg’s half-Swedish heritage with a limited edition adidas SL72 collection. The Los Angeles-based label has been a significant addition to the Herzogenaurach sportswear giant’s collaborative roster, having been part of several high-heat footwear and apparel releases since the first team-up in 2022. Part of the “Sweden Pack” alongside the “Sport Blue Yellow” edition, this Sporty & Rich x adidas SL72 “Yellow Blue” establishes a vibrant two-tone palette inspired by the Scandinavian country’s flag.

This retro trainer boasts a bright yellow underlay with luxurious suede fabrics hitting the T-toe, mudguard, eyestay, and rear. Premium pebbled leather materials construct the light blue 3-Stripes and heel tabs to bolster the Super Light model’s low-top structure. Sporty & Rich branding appears delicately on the nylon tongue and lateral sidewall, whilst an embossed Trefoil logo animates the rear panel. The satin-like inner lining and co-branded labels on the plush sockliners add flair to the early ‘70s DNA. A dual-density EVA foam midsole offers low-to-the-ground cushioning, shored up by a toned-down ripple sole.
