The adidas Blackburn SPZL earns an anniversary edition rework as part of Gary Aspden’s exclusive DECADE Pack. The limited capsule features four Spezial silhouettes curated from various collections, a tribute to the Herzogenaurach sportswear brand’s rich history of athletic trainers. This adidas Blackburn SPZL “Green Better Scarlet” combines design elements from the OG 2019 version and the “Ewood Scarlet” iteration to create an attractive colour palette worth remembering for years.

Deemed one of the highly sought-after adidas Spezial styles, this rendition flaunts a forest green suede base with vibrant red 3-Stripes and back tabs. The textured tongue boasts a night navy hue, adorned with a co-branded bluebird print displaying the Mod Trefoil logo. A gold foil “Blackburn” callout graces the lateral quarter panels, complementing the gilded SPZL Mod Trefoil symbol on the right shoe and the Lancashire rose on the left. Navy-coloured synthetic laces have been swapped in for the traditional cotton laces, embracing a touch of modernity. The sockliners contain co-branded details and the town of Blackburn’s motto: ”ARTE ET LABORE”, a Latin phrase which translates to “By Skill and Hard Work”. A navy gum sole ties the eye-popping design together as a finishing detail. This special-edition colourway includes extra green laces and a leather hang tag for additional styling.
