TMNT x adidas Superstar Shelltoe Shredder

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise celebrates its 40th anniversary with a limited-edition collaboration featuring the iconic adidas Superstar. This comic book-turned-media franchise created by Mirage Studios founders Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird has been one of the fan-favourite superhero squads in pop culture. Following the release of the Splinter and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles colourways, this latest TMNT x adidas Superstar Shelltoe “Shredder” casts its attention to the turtles’ archnemesis, the leader of the Foot Clan, and master of Ninjutsu.

This colourway flaunts a blacked-out premium leather upper, with metallic silver 3-Stripes gracing the sidewalls mimicking the supervillain’s infamous costume. “Shelltoe” and “Shredder” labels animate the quarter panels, replacing the typical “Superstar” callout. Burgundy suede fabrics envelop the heel, adorned with a silver Trefoil emblem. Shredder-inspired lace charms match the metallic accents on the sneaker. The embossed co-branded labels on the tongue showcase the brand slogan written in Japanese, a nod to the foe’s hometown. A “COME FACE YOUR DOOM” motto wreaks havoc on the inner tongue, whilst special-edition graphics animate the branded Ortholite sockliners. Below, the white herringbone outsole finishes the understated colour scheme. Like previous colourways, this pair arrives in action figure-inspired packaging with a re-print of the second TMNT comic book issue. The shoe also includes spare burgundy and black laces to switch up the look.
