Here we take a closer look at the adidas Ultra Boost X Parley Blue. As adidas continue their ongoing efforts to become more environmentally friendly, it’s collaborations such as these with pave the way for ground-breaking releases.
Joining ocean environmentalist group Parley, adidas tackle a major global issue head on. Ocean plastic is damaging the fragile eco system across all of the oceans in the world. adidas join the charitable organisation in an effort to not only reduce the impact but also spread awareness of this growing issue.
As with previous releases, this Ultra Boost X comes crafted from recycled ocean plastic. According to adidas UK, more than half of their sneaks are expected to be crafted from recycled materials by 2020.
Going with the ocean theme, this Ultra Boost features a deep shade of blue across the Primeknit. An ‘X’ cage provides additional support while a synthetic decal sits at the rear. This comes stamped with metallic branding.
To balance the look, a white Boost unit sits underfoot and promises the best in cushioning and support. A sticky outsole courtesy of Continental gives that super grippy stability underfoot.
The adidas Ultra Boost X Parley Blue is scheduled to release on Thursday, 11th May via the retailers listed.
