KITH x ASICS GEL-1130 Cream Scarab

Following the conclusion of the trilogy collaboration with HAL Studios, the retro-inspired GEL-1130 joins Ronnie Fieg’s KITH collaboration. The new “Vintage Tech 2023” collection between KITH and Japanese sportswear brand ASICS consists of four total sneakers: two GEL-Kayano 14s and two GEL-1130 colourways. This KITH x ASICS GEL-1130 “Cream Scarab” gives the retro runner a vintage look with cream-white tones and metallic silver layers.

ASICS released the GEL-1130 in 2021 as a nod to the GEL 1000 series. It’s also closely related to the GEL-Kayano 14 as the shoe takes design inspiration from the 2008 running shoe. This collaboration with KITH marks the first time Ronnie Fieg brings his design to the GEL–1130 silhouette. The shoe features a cream-white mesh upper with metallic silver synthetic leather reinforcements. Dark green tones cover the ASICS stripes on the sides, heel overlays, and the visible GEL cushioning in the heel. Vintage-inspired sail white tones comprise the SpEVA and AHARPLUS midsole with a grey midfoot shank plate for extra cushioning and arch support.
