The Converse 2019 PRIDE Pack is actually a homage to the Stonewall riots of 1969. That fight for equality is considered by many as the catalyst for the Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) social movement.

Unlike previous collections, this Converse Pack is the first of its kind to pull inspiration from the Trans Gender flag. The same colours adorn the upper with vibrant blue against pink. Everything gets dipped in sequins as a parade-worthy homage to glam styling of the late 60s.

It’s the minor details which truly sets this collection apart. Take for example, the colourful lace tips – another homage to the trans gender flag – as well as the dates printed across the heel, “1969 to 2019”.
