Converse is resurrecting its running shoe from 1977, the Starfire, and updating it with comfortable modern tech. The new “Made in Japan” collection is called the Star Cruiser line. Presenting the Converse Starfire SC J “Black”.
This Starfire SC J has a durable Cordura ripstop nylon base in black. The matching black overlays on the toe, mudguard, eye stay and heel panels are made from luxurious long-pile Japanese suede. The sewn-on chevron and star branding on both the medial and lateral mid-panels are in contrasting off-white, matching the laces, sock liner and tongue labels. Converse and Star Cruiser logos in black adorn the tongue labels. The footbeds are reinforced with OrthoLite, making the shoe extra comfy. A grey heel clip can be found at the rear. An off-white Vibram EVA foam midsole and a dark grey Vibram Megagrip rubber outsole finish off the entire ensemble.
