Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 Yurt Beach

New York-based footwear designer, Salehe Bembury, has teamed up with New Balance to work on the NB 574 silhouette. Meet the latest addition to the Yurt collection that this partnership has produced, the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 Yurt Beach.

This road/trail hybrid sneaker has a light coloured base made up of white double-layered mesh and fuzzy grey suede. Touches of chocolate brown come in the form of medial toe protection and the extended ROLLBAR on the midsole for added stability. Pops of royal blue accent the toe box, the collar and the neoprene tongue. The “N” logos on the medial and lateral sides of the shoe are in bright pink outlined with black. Pink repeats on the tongue lining, the mesh sock liner and the oval accents on the midsole. One of the most surprising but practical features of the shoe is the moulded plastic safety whistle attached to the heel. An exaggerated white midsole and a speckled bright pink outsole complete the shoe’s design.
