New Balance 983 Shadow Blue

The New Balance 983 arrives in "Shadow Blue / Zinc Blue", setting a purply grey mesh base beneath rounded synthetic overlays in a glossy metallic blue. A moulded 'N' logo runs through the midfoot, framed by oval mesh windows, while reflective details catch the light across the upper. Purple accents carry the colour story down into the midsole. Rather than reviving one archive model, the design borrows from several New Balance performance runners of the early 2000s and reworks them as a lifestyle trainer. Four elliptic cushioning pods sit along the lateral sidewall of the ABZORB SBS midsole, which combines two densities. Wave mouldings flow from the midsole into the outsole, giving the sole unit a near liquid look. The muted mesh helps the design slot into a daily rotation, while the blue overlays add contrast.
