New Balance 990v2 Made in USA Brown Purple

The New Balance Made in USA Range has been blessing the footwear market with tasteful variety and luckily for us, the 2023 selection shows no signs of slowing down. This “Brown Purple” colourway was first seen on New Balance’s 990v3 in November of ’22, with its older brother the 990v2 now set for the same treatment. Playing into the silhouettes ‘90s roots, the colourway alone is enough to get excited for.

A combination of deep browns and dark purples gives this version a heavy ACG Mowabb vibe, which considering the v2’s ‘98 release, feels right at home. New Balance has certainly paid attention towards the outdoors-inspired trend, having already released the Rainier Boot earlier this year. This “Brown Purple” edition is perfect for when you need to give your feet a break from the mountainside and slip on the renowned comfort of the 990 series. Premium suedes are used for the majority of the upper’s construction, with a thick mesh dressed in an elegant purple. The orange that forms the inner lining and underlays the side wall branding is a respectful nod to the ACG Air Mowabb, while the set of cream laces perfectly tie off this release.
