Teddy Santis knocks yet another Made in USA release out of the park with this upcoming “Brown Charcoal” 990v3. The recently appointed Creative Director has seen great success at New Balance due to his ability to pluck classy colour palettes out of thin air. Santis delves into the brown hues that made his ALD collaborations so tasteful, bringing back the hues once again onto this New Balance 990v3.
The brown dominates the upper’s overlaying panels and is elegantly contrasted by the darker green shades that lay underneath. As is the case for most Made in USA releases, premium materials have been used on the construction in the form of pigskin suede. A lighter shade of green sits below on the midsole, occupying the ENCAP cushioning system which earns the 990v3 its super comfy status. A teddy brown on both the New Balance “N”, lacing and heel tab introduces lighter tones to the darker upper, finding a middle ground for the shoe to exist in. Similar to the “USA Khaki” release, the spell-out logo on the tongue is dipped in a wine red and patiently leans on the waffle pattern that is key to completing the look of the NB 990v3.
These New Balance 990v3 Made in USA in “Brown Charcoal” is set to release at the end of January 2023, so make sure you look out for more information on the release by keeping it locked into The Sole Supplier.
