New Balance 990v3 Scarlet

As Creative Director of New Balance's Made in USA line, Teddy Santis has well and truly made his mark on the sneaker scene. After joining the Boston-based brand thanks to a series of successful Aimé Leon Dore collections over the years, the creative has made it his mission to breathe new life into New Balance's iconic 990 silhouettes. This latest pair once again focuses on the v3 model, so here's what the Teddy Santis x New Balance 990v3 "Scarlet" has to offer.

Contrasting completely with earlier releases that focussed on grey and neutral tones, the "Red" Teddy Santis 990v3 sees the silhouette arrive in a striking scarlet red hue, similar to that seen on New Balance's popular 2002R model. Here, ruby red overlays wrap their way around a base of burgundy mesh, whilst pops of grey peep out as an accent colour. The brand's signature 'N' logo and classic 990v3 tongue also appear in a silvery shade, and a white and grey ENCAP sole unit rounds off the design.
