Patta x New Balance 991v2 Pickled Beet

The next-gen New Balance 991v2 headlines another brand collaboration following its October 2023 debut. Dubbed as “a celebration of the evolution” of the iconic NB 991 from 2001, this team-up with Dutch streetwear brand Patta showcases two limited-edition colourways in autumnal hues. The Patta x New Balance 991v2 “Pickled Beet” enters the latest chapter of the iconic Made in England silhouette with a bold colour scheme.

Since their first collaborative project in 2020, Patta and New Balance have maintained a solid partnership, serving as a gateway for future ventures. Also known as the Patta x NB 991v2 “Purple” colourway, this sleek and versatile NB 991v2 rendition has a greyscale mesh underlay reinforced with purple nubuck and leather overlays. The signature metallic silver N logos on the sides and co-branded labels on the tongue feature reflective details that pop out under a light source. Meanwhile, embroidered “991” branding adorns the lateral rear. Elsewhere, the minimalist “P” embellishes the heel panel. Similar to the Stray Rats edition from '21, volt green accents engulf the shoe laces and the enhanced ABZORB SBS pods, encased by a plush FuelCell foam midsole split in grey and off white. The light brown polyurethane rim on the heel adds an earthy tone to the mix. The blacked-out durable rubber outsole caps off this contemporary update on the iconic Y2K running shoe.
