This first-ever collaboration between the Satoshi Kondo-led fashion label and Boston-based sportswear brand shares the concept of “barefoot mobility”, corresponding with the “natural and honest shape” theme of the capsule. Clad in a monotone colour scheme, this Issey Miyake x New Balance MT10O “Blue Green” embraces a minimalist get-up, a nod to the Japanese luxury brand’s avant-garde creations.
Breathable textiles construct the uppers of this minimalist trail-running shoe, shored up by leather panels to solidify its structure. Synthetic panels on the forefoot and rear bolster the low-cut framework, offering a supportive fit as you travel across terrains. The trademark “N” logo nestles on the lateral sidewall, complementing the subtle NB branding on the tongue and heel. A lightweight EVA foam midsole sits underfoot, offering ample cushioning and shock absorption whilst keeping you low to the ground to achieve a barefoot feel. The Vibram rubber outsole features extra durable nubs, ensuring long-lasting traction to handle the rigours of uneven trails.
