First seen during Paris Fashion Week, this retro trainer debuts as part of the Japanese label’s AW25 collection. Aside from AURALEE’s 10th anniversary, this collaboration expands the fruitful partnership between New Balance and Ryota Iwai’s brand, which has continued to gain popularity since the first team-up in 2019.
This minimalist CT500 iteration boasts a blacked-out mesh upper with buttery soft suede overlays on the toe, midfoot, and rear. Clean white tones envelop the trademark “N” on the sidewalls, standing atop the predominantly dark backdrop. Old-school labels embellish the tongue and heel tab, complementing the co-branding on the cushioned sockliners. The gum rubber cupsole delivers excellent traction and a low-to-the-ground ride, completing the silhouette’s vintage aesthetic.
