Nike Air Force 1 Color of the Month White Gum

In 1983, three shoe retailers in Baltimore pioneered a radical idea that’s now more commonplace in the sneaker industry. Representatives from Downtown Locker Room, Cinderella Shoes and Charley Rudo Sports flew to Nike HQ in Oregon to ask for colourways for their city. Thus, the “Color of the Month” for AF1 was born. Introducing one of the latest releases from this commemorative collection, the Nike Air Force 1 Color of the Month “White Gum”.

This AF1 Color of the Month has an all-white smooth leather upper. The tongues and mesh sock liners also have the same “colourless” treatment. The highlights of the shoe are the signature profile Swooshes on the flanks that are given a jewelled treatment, showing off a tan-hued gum underlay. Tan repeats on the mini Swooshes on the toe area, the tongue branding and the embroidered Nike text branding on the heel tabs. A clean white midsole and a tan gum rubber outsole cap off this release.
