Nike Air Force 1 Colour Of The Month University Red

The Colour of the Month series originally came about in 1984 in order to introduce retros which at the time, wasn’t part of Nike’s strategy. 2022 was the year in which Nike celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the Air Force 1, bringing back the “Colour of the Month” series to give the silhouette the shine it deserves. The last colourway to drop in the collection is this “University Red” edition that plays into the end-of-the-year festivities.

Arriving in that OG orange Nike box and additional plastic cleaning toothbrush is this “University Red” pair. As titled, the red dominates the upper and outsole, making room for white branding details. A white Swoosh, heel embroidery and Nike Air tongue label all keep the Air Force true to its traditional form. The OG tooling is present which complements the packaging details nicely, making these a serious cop for any old school fans of the Air Force. Thanks to the smooth leather, added comfort can be expected on this release, although don’t go expecting the type of cushion you’d get on the Zoom CMFT update. If you’re a fan of red and the original Air Force, this release will have been on your radar for a little while already, but if this is your first pair then what better way to start!
