The “Photon Dust” motif has landed on a select number of Nike silhouettes such as the Air Jordan 4, now making its way onto the updated Air Force 1 PLT.AF.ORM. The exciting new features are highlighted thanks to this colourway, giving the thoughtful design a spotlight and a chance for us sneakerheads to appreciate.
A predominantly tumbled leather forms the upper in a “Photon Dust” colourway, with hits of gold on the embroidery and cut-out Swoosh. The deconstructed element is introduced via the uneven lines of the lace panelling and extra stitching near the top eyelets. The fallen or misplaced Swoosh is another iconic detail that has been altered on the update, leaning into the history of other releases that have toyed with Nike’s infamous logo. Letting you stand tall is the new platform midsole that increases the stack height of the normal AF1. The split element towards the heel gives a ‘stacked’ appearance that Nike has experimented with on the Sacai x Nike Cortez, although in this example it’s purely visual. A subtle change that takes place on the tread is the addition of the star count on the heel, meaning you’ll have to pick your feet up if you want to keep them both at 100%!
If you fancy grabbing a pair of the Air Force 1 PLT.AF.ORM edition in the “Photon Dust” colourway, make sure to keep it locked into The Sole Supplier where we can give you further updates!
