Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid Sheed Black

Off-White founder and designer Virgil Abloh left a lasting legacy before he passed away in November 2021. Following multiple posthumous Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 releases, there are more special Off-White AF1 renditions on the way. This Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Sheed Black Patent” reimagines the AF1 High “Sheed” from 2001 as a tribute to former NBA champion Rasheed Wallace.

Drafted in the 1995 NBA draft by the Washington Bullets (now Washington Wizards), Rasheed Wallace was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers where he became a two-year NBA All-Star. In 2004, he won his lone NBA championship with the Detroit Pistons and spent five more years with the team. Sheed is known for wearing the Nike Air Force 1 High with Player Exclusive colourways donning his fadeaway jump shot logo on the rear and his jersey number on the collar. He also rocked the shoe in different ways: strapped, hanging strap, and sometimes strapless. Most pairs came with shiny patent leather constructions for added flair, while some styles flaunt graphics-heavy designs.

This Off-White collaboration features the Nike Air Force 1 Mid in a black patent leather construction with Sheed’s fadeaway logo on the rear and “30” on the ankle strap. The white Swoosh logos and quoted laces keep a clean black and white makeover. Off-White signature details such as the external lacing setup, medial co-branded labels, and zip-ties return true to form. The midsole boasts a wavy shape headlined by the visible heel Air unit. Underneath, rubber spikes comprise the forefoot and medial midfoot portions of the outsole. The “Off-White for Rasheed” completes this tribute colourway to the former Detroit Pistons star.
