The return of Tinker Hatfield's 1991 neoprene running silhouette, the Nike Air Huarache, is something avid Swoosh fans are grateful for. After a few re-releases of iconic iterations such as the Stüssy x Nike Air Huarache, the sportswear giant has now brought back the Nike Air Huarache Escape from 2003.
Maintaining all its timeless features, in addition to its neoprene base that borrows the interiors of water-skiing shoes which we all love, the construction is arranged in a Bisque, Storm Grey, Rope, and black colourways.
Starting from the top, the tongue forefoot and ankle region flaunt a green-esque hue adorned with the classic Air Huarache circular emblem in black and white accents for a classic look. The nubuck leather overlays that wrap around the exoskeleton caging midfoot and toebox panelling then indulge in earthy tones of brown and cream, delivering the Tinker Hatfield design a luxe aesthetic. The look is rounded off with a translucent rubber ankle strap, then paired up with pristine white laces, white chunky midsole and a black rubber outsole, both maintaining the original appearance from '91.
The Nike Air Huarache OG Escape is an absolute must-cop for those who missed out on the original release so smash the notification bell above for the best chance in securing a pair. As always, keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier to stay in the know of all Nike release dates.
