Los Angeles-based sneaker and streetwear brand Undefeated opened its first New York City flagship store, marking a significant milestone for the renowned brand. To go along with the opening celebration, UNDFTD helped Nike revive a trail-ready classic from 1997, the Nike Air Terra Humara. This collaboration gives the underrated silhouette a minimalist design approach, flaunting a dark-based upper with contrasting white speckles to highlight the UNDFTD branding.
It seems Nike’s pushing for the Gorpcore sneaker trend by reintroducing two trail-running models from the late ‘90s catalogue. The Nike Air Humara returned in 2022, boasting its motorcycle wheel-inspired design headlined by its rugged outsoles. Now, the spotlight shines on its sequel, the Air Terra Humara, to give you a distinct Gorpcore flair. This collaboration with Undefeated flaunts the brand’s blue tag underneath the white Swooshes, while the Play Dirty phrase sits alternatively on the lateral and medial ankle panels. The shoe has an all-black mixed-material construction, combining various textiles, suede, leather, and mesh to reinforce the low-cut upper. Signature details like the heel Nike Air unit and rubber protective toe cap appear stealthily, engulfed in white speckles surrounding the black foam midsole. The high-traction rugged sole completes the design of this classic trail-running sneaker.
