Since the Nike Air Humara’s brief reappearance in 2017, the want for outdoor footwear has seen a surge in demand. Breaking onto the scene in ’97, the silhouette has garnered a cult following since, with fans swearing by its versatile appearance. Just flick through the fashion-savvy magazines of the late ‘90s to early ‘00s and you’ll spot the Air Humara worn by a whole host of varying characters. From celebrities playing it low-key to spiky-haired goths, the shoe was adored by many.

This “Wheat Grass” edition plays into a heavily yellow palette, similar to the “Black Maize” pair that dropped in ’17. The pair returns with its signature checkerboard midsole finish, similar to the dispersal web seen on the adidas Forum which was designed for an even spread of weight. The mesh has been draped in a wheat tone, with its dark underlay providing a balancing contrast. Drawing a likeness to the previously released “Midnight Navy” edition is the Swoosh branding, although this time, its golden yellow hue means it simply blends into the side wall. Of course, the front and rear pull tabs allow for easy slip-on access, while the heavy lugs underfoot boast a familiar sense of traction.
