Air Jordan 1 High OG Skyline

As more people become sneakerheads, one of the first realisations they’ll have is just how iconic the Air Jordan 1 actually is. With a rich history and impressive back catalogue of classic colourways, you simply can’t go wrong with a pair of AJ1s on your feet. Whilst this obviously has benefits, creating future classics can become a much harder task, as new iterations don't tend to have the same pull. The "Skyline" drop could change this, as, although never worn by the basketball star, this pair is based on another crucial moment in Jordan’s storied rise to fame.

The Air Jordan 1 High OG "Skyline' is inspired by the iconic photo of Michael Jordan dunking in front of the Chicago cityscape at dusk. In the photo, Jordan is wearing the classic red and black jumpsuit, while on his feet, a pair of Air Jordan 1 High “Black Toe” has him flying over the silhouetted Chicago skyline. This release takes its palette from the peach and blue tones found in the photo, placing them onto the AJ1’s panelling via a selection of ombré denim. Frayed edges are sprinkled throughout, giving the shoe a slightly deconstructed feel, while the sidewall and toe box are formed from white leather that follows the shoe’s traditional aesthetic. Branding hits are accented in black, while the sail midsole underfoot also helps tone down the overall appearance.

The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Skyline” is one of those sneakers that takes you by surprise, with its unique storytelling and playful gradient, don’t look back on this drop wishing you’d have copped!
