Air Jordan 1 Low LV8D Rookie Of The Year

What better way to win over fans of an updated silhouette than to use some highly successful colourways? The people over at Jordan Brand think it’s been long enough since the colourway initially dropped back in 2018, with a fresh set of sneakerheads ready for the brown and white make-up. Now the Air Jordan 1 Low LV8D is lucky enough to receive the “Rookie of the Year” and it’s another solid drop to look forward to.

Inspired by the brown shirt Michael Jordan wore to his Rookie of the Year Ceremony after his 85-85 season, the shoe’s upper is dressed in that brown and white panelling. Jordan, who is known for his unique style, saw both praised and critiqued during his time at centre stage. Just google “Michael Jordan jeans” for a little snippet of the man’s solid denim collection (not to mention the Jeans Jordan brand released in the early 2000s). This AJ1 Low LV8D is simple to pull off however, thanks to the clean colour blocking and classic white midsole, you needn’t worry about trying to make these work. Going for a more stripped-back approach, the Wings insignia on the heel tab embraces a simplistic outline, with the tongue label following that same trend. Inside you have a cork-based insole which along with the platform sole, boosts extra comfort.
