HAL Studios x ASICS GEL-NYC 2.0 Yellow Black

HAL Studios and ASICS return to the GEL-NYC 2.0 with "Yellow Black", a high contrast rework of the low cut model. Yellow leads across the layered mesh and leather upper, while black runs through the overlays, tooling and lacing for a graphic split. Metal snap eyelets nod to exposed steel beams, and textured underlays reference utility grates, with debossed dot detailing across the quarter panel.

The 2.0 tooling brings a chunkier midsole, oval cutouts at the heel and underlays offset from the overlays for depth, with GEL cushioning underfoot. Reflective elements sit throughout the upper, so the design reads differently under city lights. On the tongue, HAL Studios reworks ASICS' founding philosophy into "The World Is Yours", in line with the industrial language of the wider collaboration. First in the H.S.D.T. Signature Series, this one is a strong option for anyone after a bolder pair.
