In February 1985, NBA executive VP, Russ Granik, sent a letter to Nike VP, Rob Strasser, essentially banning Michael Jordan from wearing a pair of red and black shoes. That pair was the precursor to the Air Jordan 1 and Nike, later on, created an entire “Banned” campaign around the AJ1, cementing its popularity. Wear a bit of MJ’s rebelliousness with an elevated version of the model that has just dropped, the Air Jordan 1 LV8D High “Black Toe Lilac”.
This high-top AJ1 LV8D has a sail-coloured pebbled leather base. The signature profile Swooshes on the flanks and the overlays on the toe and eye stay panels are in contrasting black. The suede collar flaps and heel counters, on the other hand, are in a lilac hue. The Wings logos on the lateral collar flaps are stylised, with no details except for a stitched outline and a puffy look. A sail-coloured platform midsole and a lilac rubber outsole round out the style of this sneaker.
Grab the Air Jordan 1 LV8D High “Black Toe Lilac” on The Sole Supplier app and always be ready to catch the most recent shoe drops from Nike and Jordan brand.
