Air Jordan 1 Mid Craft Inside Out Tan Brown

The Recent Craft updates from Nike and Jordan Brand have consistently delivered an interesting take on classic silhouettes. Adopting the “Inside Out” theme is this Air Jordan 1 Mid, embracing the heavy deconstructive elements that are hugely popular in footwear today. While sneakerheads have only just warmed to the mid-cut AJ1 these past few years, there is a lot to celebrate on this release thanks to a strong colourway and material mismatch.

Starting off the inside-out makeover is the toe box which opts for an overlaying panel, but don’t worry, the usual perforations are still in place. The “Tan Brown” colourway can be found sprinkled onto the upper, located on the hairy suede lace panelling, canvas toe guard and mesh collar. As per usual, the Swoosh is found on the sidewall, however, the regular stitching is thrown out and replaced by a fragmented block stitch in its stead. Transplanted onto the back is the heel panel from the Air Jordan 1 Low, including an embroidered Wings insignia. An orange heel counter is a necessary dash of colour that draws the eye to the AJ1 Low features, giving the shoe its Frankenstein feel. The regular Air Jordan 1 midsole has remained untouched and is a friendly return to the silhouette’s iconic roots.
