Jordan Brand gears up for the festive Chinese New Year 2024 event with a new Year of the Dragon collection. Join the annual celebration and rock the Air Jordan 2 Low “Year of the Dragon”.
The Air Jordan 2 returned to the release calendar in late 2021 and got a surge of releases and retros. Worn by MJ in his third NBA season, the AJ2 stands as one of the most underrated sneakers among the early Air Jordan retros. Bruce Kilgore, Nike Air Force 1 designer, and Peter Moore, the man behind the AJ1, teamed up to create the Air Jordan 2. Both designers had luxury fashion in mind, so they took the production to Italy. The shoe has a leather upper with faux lizard skin on the sides. No Swooshes appear on the Air Jordan 2, only the Jordan Wings on the tongue and Nike on the heel showcases the brand.
The Air Jordan 2 Low “Year of the Dragon” joins the Air Jordan 1 Low OG, Air Jordan 1, and Air Jordan 38 in this Chinese New Year 2024 collection. Jordan Brand celebrated Chinese New Year 2023 with the Year of the Rabbit pack. We can recall the extremely limited Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Year of the Rabbit” which only had 5000 pairs. It’s likely that the brand limits one of these pairs as well.
