Jordan Brand returns to South Korea to unveil the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0”, the sequel to the highly coveted 2018 edition. The sportswear giant has been actively celebrating the East Asian nation’s diverse culture and heritage, with notable styles like the Nike “Hangul Day” collection nodding to the country’s rich history. Inspired by the Taegeukgi, or the South Korean flag, this AJ3 presents a pre-aged design for a summer-ready approach.
This "Seoul 2.0" colourway boasts a pristine white leather upper with muted grey suede overlays to subdue the elephant print. Unlike the original "Seoul" 2018 edition, the midsole is given a vintage treatment as a way of separating the two releases. Now whether sneakerheads will be labelling these the "Reimagined Seoul" AJ3s is good as anyone's guess, but just because it has aged detailing doesn't necessarily mean it deserves the reimagined name. An embroidered Taegeukgi decorates the tongue, complementing the blue and red accents on the inner lining and collar. The Nike Air branding on the rear and orange hang tag embraces OG details from ‘89. A visible heel Air bubble provides adequate cushioning underfoot, propped up by a durable rubber outsole.
Set to launch on the 15th of May on the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers, you can find out where to buy the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” by keeping it locked to The Sole Supplier!
