Jordan Brand reunites with leading denim pants manufacturer Levi Strauss & Co. for a sneaker and apparel collaboration starring the Tinker Hatfield-designed AJ3. This project is a sequel to the highly coveted AJ4 collection from 2018, which now fetches sky-high prices in the resell market. Expanding the partnership that began in 2008, the Levi Strauss & Co x Air Jordan 3 Retro “Denim Sail” showcases an exquisite design crafted in the San Francisco-based company’s premium fabrics in honour of Lunar New Year.

This iteration features a light blue denim upper with sail accents as well as ponyhair detailing on the heel tab, a nod to the Year of the Horse inspiration. The signature red tab adorns the lateral quarter like a pair of jeans, complementing the co-branded labels on the sockliner. A classic Jumpman logo graces the tongue and TPU rear panel as a nod to the grace and aerial creativity of “His Airness”. The polyurethane midsole incorporates a visible Air bubble in the heel and an encapsulated unit in the forefoot for ample cushioning and shock absorption. The solid rubber outsole utilises pivot circles and stars on the front to grip the floor.
