It’s a mixed material galore for this kids’ exclusive Air Jordan 5 colourway as the brand reveals a flurry of autumn-winter-appropriate styles. Unfazed by raised eyebrows when it first surfaced on the internet, this Jordan 5 GS “Plaid” displays an attention-grabbing design cosmetic with its patchwork-inspired makeover.

The youth-sized Air Jordan 5 incorporates assorted plaid patterns, flaunting the classic red and green Royal Stewart pattern on the vamp and heel panels, while neutral-toned tartan check motifs cover the toe box and padded collar. Black and white gingham fabric decorates the midfoot section, surrounding the TPU eyestays and plastic netting. The puffy tongue boasts a houndstooth pattern, serving as a backdrop to the bright orange Jumpman logo. This same hue engulfs the two-tone round laces and signature shark teeth design on the midsole. Meanwhile, the visible Nike Air unit in the heel gets encapsulated in black PU foam.
