Nike Air Max 1 Chinese New Year

Designed in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year, the Nike Air Max 1 Chinese New Year is a vibrant design that’s made to command attention. Crafted in a patchwork finish, each section pays homage to the heritage of CNY in a different way, delivering a result that’s nostalgic and undeniably celebratory.

The toe box is made from denim, finished in an acid wash print. Overlaying this is a leather insert that anchors the laces for a secure fit – printed with dragon scales in a bright blue finish, this section nods to one of China’s most valued mythical creatures. Framing the midsole is a bright pink patent leather section that’s stamped with China’s oldest coin and the heel is finished with a yellow bug-printed insert and a pink floral design. Clearly there’s a lot going on when it comes to this pair, but Nike’s signature Swoosh logo can still be found in its original place at the side of the shoe.

The midsole is fitted with Nike’s exclusive air unit that evenly distributes your weight from heel to forefoot, this gives you stability and ensures that your foot is supported in all the right places.
