Nike Air Max 1 Crepe Soft Grey

Fans of the Nike Air Max 1 will be pleased to see the Crepe sole returning. While it may not be significant to most, avid sneakerheads know that the Crepe sole editions normally go hand-in-hand with premium materials. We saw two examples of just that on the Air Max 1 Crepe “Wheat Gold” and “Blue” editions from 2018, both of which swiftly got added to the collections of Air Max enthusiasts. With this rumoured “Soft Grey” colourway set to drop, will you be adding the pair to your collection?

Forgoing the hits of corduroy, this 2023 iteration is still constructed from an array of classy materials. The dark grey panels are imbued with a delicate suede, changing shade as you brush your finger across its surface, a strong marker of high quality. On the toe box you will find a soft grey canvas that does without the usual perforation, opting for an elegantly smooth finish. The ankle collar is also doused in a softer shade of grey that seems to hark back on the old nubuck construction from 2018. A tumbled leather graces the Swoosh on the side wall, giving the iconic logo all the necessary pop. Of course, the Crepe outsole lies underfoot, with the sail midsole complementing its gum finish.
