Subtle and understated vibes cover the Nike Air Max 1 Grey White. This is yet another ‘Anniversary’ release which takes us right back to the old school. Sure, the ’30 Years Of Air’ celebrations are long behind us, but with so much hype for these OG releases, it’s not surprising that Nike continue the hype into 2018.
The ‘Grey White’ Air Max 1 is far more subtle than most of the colourful iterations. All the conventional style cues are present including the soft nylon upper as well as the suede crafted mudguard and lace surround.
A base shade of white is contrasted by the deep hues of grey which feature in lighter and darker shades. A black Swoosh sits across the sidewall with that same colourway utilised for the eyelets.
As mentioned, the AM1 ‘Grey White’ is a homage to the old school complete with OG branding, a soft canvas tongue and chunky midsole underfoot. The Air Unit and outsole matches the same grey colourway as the upper.
This refined theme looks great paired with some black jeans but also looks banging with shorts. As such, it’s a versatile choice that can be worn throughout the entire year.
