The Nike Air Max 1 has come a long way since its debut in the late 80s. While added innovations and slight changes to construct have delivered more comfort, that original look has been altered slightly.
Thankfully, Nike have listened to the fans and chosen to reproduce the exact ’87 silhouette for the upcoming Air Max Day celebrations.
Soft white mesh hits the base while vibrant touches of the ‘Sport Red’ feature to the mudguard, branding and Swoosh. The addition of muted grey against the sidewall gives a nice contrast and let’s not forget about the visible bubble underfoot. This remains fresh in a clean shade of white, exactly the same as that debut model.
